Why Protein Matters for Muscle Growth?

Consuming enough protein has benefits for the entire body. It helps balance your glucose levels, build and maintain muscle mass, reduce cravings, and increase your metabolism.

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins and are essential for the body's ability to perform important tasks. Although your body is able to make certain amino acids, there are nine that you can only obtain from foods called essential amino acids.

The Science of Amino Acids

Protein is composed of amino acids. They are the building blocks essential to your body's ability to perform important tasks. While your body can produce certain amino acids by itself, there are nine that will only be found in food. They are referred to as essential amino acids, or indispensable amino acids.

Black chana, formerly known as black chickpeas or kala Chana, is a favored legume consumed in regions across the globe. One of the major advantages of black chana is its nutritional value. It's a good source of minerals, protein, and fiber, making it a good option for vegans and vegetarians seeking to increase their protein intake.

It is clear that the current Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for protein intake - having 0.8 grams of protein for each kg (kg) of bodyweight every day isn't sufficient for the best health and well-being. The RDA set by the FDA is the minimum amount adults need to consume to prevent the development of muscle atrophy and other health effects resulting from insufficient protein intake.
